We are constantly striving to make Nurse TV as good as possible and to achieve this we need your help. We are interested in your opinion of Nurse TV. Are we covering the various areas of nursing fairly? What stories would you like to see on Nurse TV? Do you agree with the opinions expressed by the nurses on the show? Here are some of the comments Nurse TV has received in the past.
“I find Nurse TV interesting, informative… and gives an insight into
the compassion and workings of these dedicated professionals.”
Margaret Christenson - Sutherland NSW
“I think the series gives nurses (and importantly WOULD-BE nurses)
a great insight into the myriad of nursing roles out there.”
Lorraine Wilson - Freemasons Hospital Victoria
“It’s great that you are making these programs, because the nursing
profession is under-appreciated and the high level of dedicated care,
is taken so much for granted. It is interesting that the US nursetv video’s,
show that USA is throwing money at the problem, but it doesn’t appear to
be providing job security for the profession. This is disturbing.”
Ann Eblin - Melbourne
“I ENJOY WATCHING NURSE TV ON MONDAY NIGHTS AND
THURSDAY AFTERNOON. ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE A NEW
SERIES??????”
Dorothy Ozanne - Melbourne
“I find Nurse TV to be a great source of information on the different
areas of nursing and it allows me to see what type of things I can do
when I have graduated.”
Jade Woodward - Melbourne
“NURSE TV is an interesting and worthwhile program. We watch it
often, in preference to mainstream programs. (We even enjoy repeats.).
Why? To keep abreast of changes and developments in health care, its
issues and workers. To be inspired by the service and experience of
individuals. There are role models for everyone: carers, patients, men,
women, professionals and aspirants, old and young. To be aware of
policies which affect Australian life: funding, overseas aid, health
priorities, regulation. Because Nurse TV has been consistently
entertaining for years. Community TV is necessary to give other views
and cultures a public voice. Nurse TV does, and has done, this admirably.
I should have written long ago. If private funds would make a difference,
I would be happy to donate. Thank you to all those involved in the
programme.”
Ruth Badcock - Melbourne
“I really enjoy the show. I am currently at uni studying to be a Div 1 Nurse
and I find Nurse TV very educational and inspiring. I hope Nurse TV stays
on the air, however, the change in time slot has made it difficult for me to
watch it regularly.”
Sally Lang - Melbourne
“Nurse TV is an outstanding programme. It is diverse, interesting, and
educational. It is a must see programme as far as I am concerned and
deserves a large audience. But how do you convince Rubbish TV watchers
to watch reality TV of this calibre?”
Betty Ives - Melbourne
“I am a registered nurse and do not miss an episode of Nurse TV. I think
Nurse TV is a valuable program to educate the public about the different
roles nurses take on. Generally, when I tell someone I am a nurse, they don't
ask what kind, they already have an image of me attending to patients in
hospital. Nurse TV is a program that should be shown to nursing students to
give them an idea of what direction they may take. I feel it is also a valuable
resource for secondary students looking at career choices as it shows nurses
in different roles, not just taking blood pressures and emptying bedpans in
hospital, which is what most students think of nursing. I think this could help
in the recruitment of new nurses to the field, something we desperately need.
I learn a lot myself from this program. I have yet to specialise in an area as I
cannot decide, however by watching Nurse TV I have been given insight to
specialist positions that interest me. I think it would be a great loss if this
program was cancelled. Please keep it on the air.”
Tammy Brennan RN - Melbourne
