Nurses and Midwives Crew has been busy over the new year
Our crew has been very busy over the new year period working hard with Melbourne Health, The Alfred Hospital and Walker/Evans Practice Nurses, and RPA in New South Wales.
We have been given incredible access to Victoria's newes and biggest Intensive Care Unit. Today we filmed for four hours at Alfred ICU and were given insights into ICU at the Alfred from Carlos the Medical Director and Jane the Charge Nurse. This will be a great piece of TV and we are looking forward to cutting it all together.
We flew off to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and filmed a nurse unit manager up there who is in charge of a neurosciences unit. We got tired following her as she was running all day. She gives us personal insights into what makes a successful nurse unit manager and tells us all about the NAMO project Take The Lead, developed by NSW Health.
Melbourne Health continues to be a huge supporter and has given us access to an incredible GEM unit at Royal Park. To film these nurses was really rewarding and to see their incredible skills with their clients was amazing. We hope we captured the magic on camera.
We also filmed the amazing nurses in the rehab unit at Royal Park. Through interviews and powerful case examples we examine their role and find out why this ward has an outstanding reputation.
So we are keeping busy. I know we are off air at the moment but our last series is going to be the best.
